Snow Totals May Need To Be Bumped Up

We still haven't gotten any official reports out of Upton, but it looks like a bullseye area will set up out in central/eastern Suffolk County. Many models depicted this a few days ago. The HRRR depicts significant 6"ish snowfall totals in that bullseye area, around Shirley/Manorville before all is said and done. For western areas that already saw a little snow, it will be making a return over the next couple hours as moisture fills in the inverted trough associated with the larger system that's exiting the area stage right. We can expect the snow to linger around all day and into the wee hours late tonight. The HRRR is just a model, but it's definitely a good sign that snow totals need to be raised.
