So Much For March Going Out Like A Lamb...

The phrase usually goes, March, in like a lion, out like a lamb. Well, in our case, Mother Nature looks like she may shave that lamb and sprinkle us with its snow white fleece.
A cold rain will overspread the area tomorrow afternoon, possibly mixing with some wet snowflakes. As nightfall sets in, a changeover to all snow will likely occur, dusting Long Island with up to a coating. This won't be a soaking event, as we're only expecting around 1/4" of total precipitation, most of which will be liquid. Just enough to remind us that we live in the tundra :/
The next system we'll have to deal with moves in Friday, but should warm temperatures well into the 50's with it. For now, it looks like the system will be out of here by Easter Sunday.
Included:
1) GFS surface pressure and precipitation for Tuesday at 8pm 2) The US National Weather Service New York NY snowfall estimate through 2am Wednesday 3) NCEP WPC precipitation outlook through 2am Wednesday
